Carly has over fifteen years of competition and teaching experience and has taught a wide range of pupils of varying age and abilities.  She prides herself on giving confidence to both horse and rider.

Carly started riding at 5 and had her own pony at 9.  After she left school at 16 (with 9 GCSEs!) she worked at Wellow Park Stables for nearly 5 years.  Wellow Park is a riding school and examination centre with hunters and eventers.  Whilst she was there Carly gained her BHSAI at 18 and stayed on to complete their home-bred horse Misschief at BE.  She competed Misschief over 2 seasons taking her to Novice level.

Carly moved to a private yard, for 2 years, training and exercising hunters, show-jumpers and bringing on youngsters.  During this time she took their prize hunter to Novice level at BE and also gained her HGV licence.

Carly then worked part-time for Helen Bell (event rider) schooling and competing ponies for sale, as well as building up her own yard business with liveries and problem horses.

For 5 years after this Carly worked for a family, all having their own horses, including the 4 sons.  Each horse or pony was cared for, exercised and competed.  Each son also received regular lessons throughout the year and was chaperoned, whilst out hunting during the winter.
During this time Carly also competed her own horse to Intermediate and CCI*/CIC* level.

After passing her BHS Stage 4, Carly now runs her own equestrian business providing instruction for rider and horse.
